Job Description
- Managing daily operations of Finance department
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
- Managing the accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, especially the control systems, transaction-processing operations and procedures
- Process Payroll in a timely manner
- Maintain chart of accounts
- Maintaining accounts system
- Managing bookkeepers to ensure all accounts entries posting are taken correctly and completed
- Forecasting cash payments and anticipating challenges arising from limited cash flow
- Maintains historical records by reconciling monthly statement and related transactions
- Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed in timely manner
- Preparing and presenting financial reports to ensure it comply with Malaysia government reporting requirement and tax fillings
- Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
- Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants
- Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for pricing decisions and contract negotiations
- Monitor hotel stores movement, and ensure proper records are well kept for month end stock count and audit
- Safeguard assets of the hotel, and to ensure up to date assets listing in place
- Working with executives and business heads to prepare budgets and track profit/loss performance by business unit and on consolidated basis
- Providing advice on financial matters impacting on the company as a whole
- Taking responsibility for and supervising the work of, more junior members of staff for the Finance Department
- Advising and arranging financial audits and reviews as required
- Creating solutions to new financial challenges by applying financial knowledge
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
- At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Manager specialized in Hotel Management/Tourism Services or equivalent.
